Description
Redstone ore is found deep underground in the Overworld, appearing as regular redstone ore in stone and deepslate redstone ore below Y0. Each ore drops 4-5 redstone dust when mined. The ore emits light when touched or powered. Redstone is crucial for automation and machinery, acting as Minecraft's equivalent to electrical circuitry. It can transmit power up to 15 blocks and forms the basis for complex contraptions.
How to Find
Redstone ore generates between Y-levels 16 and -64, with peak distribution at Y-level -32. Found in veins of up to 8 blocks. Requires iron pickaxe or better. Fortune enchantment increases dust drops. Glows when interacted with. Also obtainable from witch drops.
